CODE OF CONDUCT
General Discipline
- All GHRSTU students shall observe the code of conduct and obey all directives from the Principal, Heads of Departments, Faculty, and Staff members.
- Any student who breaks GHRSTU's rules or behaves indisciplined will be suspended. On admission, students and their guardians are presumed to have read and agreed to the rules.
- Students engaging in anti-national activities or violating discipline rules will be expelled without notice.
Misrepresentation
If any information supplied during admission is found to be incorrect, the candidate may be expelled, fees forfeited, and, if necessary, prosecuted.
Prohibited Activities
Smoking, chewing tobacco, and consuming liquor on campus are strictly forbidden.
Leave Policy
Leave applications must be submitted in advance to the concerned authorities.
Care for Property
Students must care for library books, furniture, laboratory equipment, and university property. Damage caused will be recovered from the responsible students.
Uniform
Students must wear the prescribed uniform.
Attendance
A minimum of 75% attendance in theory and practical classes is mandatory.
Notices
Students should check the notice board daily for updates, as only special notices will be announced in class.
Address Update
Any change in local or permanent address must be reported immediately to the concerned office.
Decorum
Decency and decorum must be maintained on university premises.
ANTI-RAGGING POLICIES
Definition of Ragging:
Ragging includes acts of bullying, harassment, or humiliation—physical, psychological, or online. Examples include:
- Verbal Abuse: Insults, teasing, derogatory remarks.
- Physical Harassment: Assault or coercion.
- Psychological Bullying: Intimidation or exclusion.
- Online Harassment: Cyberbullying via social media or emails.
Commitment:
GHRSTU ensures a safe, respectful environment through strict anti-ragging measures.
Anti-Ragging Committee
Composition: Faculty, administrative staff, and student representatives.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring compliance with anti-ragging policies.
- Investigating complaints and providing confidential reporting mechanisms.
- Conducting inquiries and recommending actions.
Preventative Measures:
- Awareness Campaigns:Sessions and workshops on the implications of ragging.
- Orientation Programmes:Briefing new students on anti-ragging policies and available support.
- Counselling Services:Confidential support for victims and offenders to address mental well-being and behavioural change.
Disciplinary Actions:
- Warnings: For minor offences.
- Suspension: Temporary exclusion from classes, activities, or facilities.
- Rustication:Permanent expulsion for severe or repeated offences.
- Legal Action: Cooperation with law enforcement for criminal acts.
